Architecture integrated into the landscape
The house develops as a quiet intervention in the landscape of Punta Grossa. Low, horizontal volumes that follow the topography without forcing it. Local materials that speak of the place. Large openings that dissolve the boundary between inside and out, allowing light, ventilation and landscape to become part of daily experience.
There are no unnecessary gestures. Every decision responds to the surroundings, the orientation and the light of Menorca. The result is an architecture that accompanies without imposing.

The project was designed by the studio Antonio Altarriba Arquitectos, recognised for a contemporary architecture deeply connected to its context. Their process begins with a precise reading of the place: topography, orientation, climate, scale. The result is a house that, despite being clearly contemporary, feels as though it has always been there. As if the landscape generated it, not the other way around.
At Casa Marpagrossa, that rigour translates into a home that prioritises privacy, human scale and a constant dialogue with the landscape. No excess. Just balance.
More than a house
The house is designed for those who need more than somewhere to sleep. For those temporarily relocating to the island, working remotely and needing an environment that supports focus, or simply wanting to experience Menorca at a different pace to the usual tourist rhythm.
